Undertaken collectively by members of the Helsinki Harps Folk Group. The tradition of Strawboys, Mumming and the Wren, among others are long established customs across communities in Ireland and Britain. The first known outing of Strawboys in Helsinki Finland took place in Autumn 2022 with music and performance at several locations across the city, culminating in a session at Musta Kissa Bar. In 2023 the folk group undertook a Mummer's play produced by Eoin O'Dowd with public procession and performance at Yo Gallery and Theater Tuikke respectively.
