Prollage is a series of four short videos made with the use of a telescope on location in the Cooley mountains Co. Louth. The works were broadcasted live and depicted with accompanying audio in the artist's studio.
The term Prollage is in reference to the work of painter Jiri Kolar.
This work was selected as part of Television, curated by Sarah Lundy, Tactic Gallery, Co. Cork. Ireland.
Taming the Bull of Heaven (2012)
Taming the bull of heaven is a short montage, shot on an ipod touch, in the Cooley mountains in 2012.
The video consists of a broadcast tower and a megalithic tomb. The work was made in response to a group exercise which revolved around the reading of Gilgamesh. The work means to reference the removal of mankind from a state of nature to a constructed technological reality.
The video later exhibited as a projection installation, as part of The Epic of Gilgamesh in Pallas Projects, Dublin, Ireland.
